The Byrds are still one of the most influential bands in Country-Rock and Americana to date. Roger McGuinn & Clarence White were electrifying together blending a Rickenbacker 12-string electric and a Fender Telecaster with a device called a “B-Bender” which allowed White to mimic the sound of a pedal steel guitar by pulling his B-string a whole-step with his guitar strap.
